New: Vienna Collection from Century

With its rich cultural roots, the city of Vienna remains a city of intrigue and inspiration, fused with traditional and modern influences. Located in the eastern part of Austria, close to the borders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, Vienna has long been regarded as the City of Music having been home to composers such as Brahms and Strauss, and from the late 19th century to the 1930s, the city was a centre of high culture and modernism.

From this rich history, Century draws inspiration for its newest collection, Vienna. Influenced by the angular and more geometric forms of Austrian deco, the collection in infused with classic elements and details yet blended with a more modern approach. The sum is a graphic and artistic collection that works well in both modern and classic rooms allowing for a complete freedom of interpretation.

"Today's consumers are living much more casually," says Chad Philips, Director of Century's Casegoods division. "They are looking for pieces that can blend well into any style of room. Some of these pieces will push the design to a much more modern place, while others are grounded in a much more classic aesthetic. This flexibility of design coupled with our ability to custom finish according to the consumer's style makes Vienna a perfect collection for today's customer."

"From the designs and craftsmanship to the range of finishes and materials, there are so many ways one could use these pieces. In our own display, we showcase how it can be graphic and bold utilizing black and white finishes with punches of color, as well as a more demure urban look, featuring our wood tone cerused finishes."

New Year, New Hoff Loft

As Denver grows, and becomes an ever-so-popular place to live, there is a growing need for furniture suitable for smaller spaces. Millennials are enjoying city living, Boomers are downsizing, and multi-family housing is trying to keep up with it all.

The Hoff Loft, located on our second floor, is a representation, not only of smaller scaled furnishings, but of fresh design within varying price points and time frames. We are excited to provide more unique and innovative options to designers than what the big box stores have to offer. The loft's overall feel encompasses a fun, textural, warm, hygge (hoo-gah) home.

What do we mean by hygge? If you haven’t heard of the term yet, this is our take on this popular buzzword. Hygge is a Danish term that has no direct translation. It is more of a feeling... and that feeling is home, cozy, happy, warmth, family, softness. This feeling is one of the ways the Danish make it through their long, cold winters, and being one of the happiest places in the world, the rest of us are paying attention.

As we have entered a digital, fast-paced age, many are craving ways to slow down and enjoy their loved ones.

Tying this feeling back into smaller living spaces, we believe the two go hand in hand. Smaller, more intimate spaces create the perfect backdrop for hygge to happen, and that is exactly what you'll experience in the Hoff Loft.

You'll find warm drinks here in the winter, and refreshing drinks in the summer. You’ll hear fun, yet calming music while smelling freshly baked cookies (oh wait, we’ve always done that here!).

You’ll find furnishings, accessories, lighting, and artwork perfectly scaled for your loft or small space. But most of all, you’ll want to hang out for a while and feel the hygge around you. We welcome you to stay a while.
