Meet Piegatto, our stunning new indoor+outdoor line from Guatemala. Their pieces go beyond functionality, bringing art and inspiration into everyday life. Over the years, they’ve grown into a dynamic team of designers, artists, and architects, all driven by a shared love for pushing the boundaries of modern design.
THE PALM CHAIR: A LEAF CAUGHT IN MOTION "When we designed the Palm Chair, we sought to embody the fluid grace of a palm leaf swaying in the breeze. The chair's elegant curvature mirrors the leaf's unfurling, a delicate balance between structure and movement. Just as the leaf offers both shade and openness, the Palm Chair invites you to rest while subtly gesturing outward, blurring the line between shelter and freedom." PEBBLES COFFEE TABLES: TRANQUILITY BY THE RIVERBANK "The Pebbles collection draws inspiration from the smooth stones scattered along riverbeds- objects polished over time by water's gentle persistence. These coffee tables mimic not just the shape of pebbles but also their tactility and grounding presence. Each piece in the collection carries a unique form, as if randomly plucked from nature, reinforcing the sense that no two are alike. In spaces both indoors and out, they evoke calm moments spent near water, inviting moments of reflection and rest." SCREENS AND ART THAT ECHO FISHING NETS AND FOREST FLOORS "Our room dividers and screens tell stories of quiet craftsmanship, inspired by the intricate patterns of fishing nets swaying in the wind and the delicate gills of mushrooms hidden beneath forest canopies. The repeating loops and organic textures woven into the screens are a tribute to hand-tied nets used by fishermen- a nod to traditions where function meets beauty." COLORS, CURVES, AND FORMS: AN ORGANIC DESIGN LANGUAGE "Color is essential to how we interpret nature at Piegatto. We choose muted clay tones, deep browns, and soft greys, reflecting natural elements like stone, earth, and foliage. These hues resonate with the surroundings, bringing the serenity of outdoor landscapes into interior spaces. Our shapes -curved, asymmetrical, or delicately irregular -are not confined by rigid geometry but rather follow the subtle logic of nature, which is both imperfect and perfect in its randomness." "We believe that design, like nature, should invite exploration, reflection, and connection. Every piece is not just an object but a continuation of nature's dialogue -crafted for people, shaped by the world."
