High Point Market Firsts

I’ve arrived at High Point Furniture Market and am elated to be here for the first time. Growing up, my Mom, Leanna would travel here twice a year, many times on my birthday in April and my Dad’s birthday in October. And she’s only missed Market twice -- once when I was born and the second time when my brother was born. 

I’ve always imagined this mysterious place and wondered what it was like. I remember the excitement of my Mom shopping for new attire before the trips. And when she returned from her trip, the lovely smell of perfume in the house meant she was home. For the first few days back, she would have a slight southern accent and would say “ya’ll”, which my brother and I found so funny! 

I have recently begun working for my Mom at Hoff Miller and feel so honored to be joining her and Shelly (our outside sales gal) here in High Point. All the years of imagining this place have come to an end as I can now see it with my own eyes. I am looking forward to learning about all the new, exciting product out there, from lines we carry along with the MANY others. I’m excited to meet new people in the industry as well as those I’ve heard stories of throughout the years.
