We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Belgium line, Vincent Sheppard.

Vincent Sheppard has been designing and manufacturing indoor and outdoor furniture with exceptional seating comfort since 1992. They are a worldwide market leader in 'Paper Loom' furniture, a technique where kraft paper is twisted around a metal wire and woven into unique furniture pieces.

Today, their furniture is exported to more than 80 countries on six continents and the number keeps growing. Vincent Sheppard can be found in the most beautiful hotels, homes and restaurants all over the world.

Originally founded by English furniture designer Jonathan Sowter, Jonathan Charles earned worldwide recognition excelling in the art of fine antique reproductions. Their craftswomen and craftsmen are artists, skilled at age-old furniture making techniques such as lost-wax casting, hand-cut marquetry, and crisp detailed Hand carvings.

Hickory Chair: David Phoenix's Positano Collection

New from Hickory Chair, The Positano Collection, designed by David Phoenix was a big hit at High Point Market this past October. The introduction includes 25 pieces of seating and case goods inspired by the relaxed, high style of the iconic seaside enclave.

“I named the collection after one of my favorite places on earth,” David says. “I’ve lived by the sea for most of my life, recently relocating from Los Angeles to Palm Beach. But Positano has a unique spirit and style—maybe it’s the hills dotted with villas and the cafes on cliffs and how the whole town seems to pause to watch the sunset together—it’s chic and magical.”

Hickory Chair: Everett by Skip Rumley

For the past eight years, Skip Rumley has led the fashion and design aesthetic for Hickory Chair bringing such talents as Ray Booth, David Phoenix and Susan Hable to create collections for the 109-year-old company. In this role, Skip has been responsible for leading product innovation, merchandising the product assortment and creating fashion-leading collaborative collections with each of our design partners. During his storied career, Skip has forged a career engaged with some of the most prestigious luxury brands in the furniture industry where he has designed interiors for showrooms and galleries as well as designing furniture, lighting and accessories.

The Everett Collection is rooted in Skip’s twenty-year journey through the world of design. He has learned to ‘speak a lot of languages’ as style, fashion and form have evolved. He lived in a modern glass house and recently moved into a 1940’s Cape Cod home. He loves the tension that occurs when combining traditional and modern forms. He loves references to classic design and the excitement that is created when they are mixed with both soft organic silhouettes and architectural forms. He believes that interiors should be both masculine and feminine - when married together it creates a lovely dynamic.

We want our pieces to be a canvas that truly become functional art once our craftsmen build it with the specifications from the designer.

With a fine arts education, her curiosity allows her to expand outside her origins of bold and graphic textiles into writing books, designing furniture, painting wall art, and creating sculptures.

HABLE FOR HICKORY CHAIR

Sisters Susan Hable Smith and Katherine Hable founded the NY-based textile company Hable Construction in 2009. Named after their Texan great-grandfather’s 20th century road construction business, they now pave roads of a different sort as leaders in textile design while expanding their studio to create furniture and decorative
accessories for the home.

Ideas are distilled from travel and life adventures to simple forms with integrity and most of all thoughtfulness.
