Barbie Land was inspired by midcentury modern architecture, and created in saturated hues of blues, yellows, and pinks.

With the premier of Barbie, audiences around the world have been immersed in the fantasy world where Barbie and Ken reside. Barbie Land, the pink utopia created by production designer Sarah Greenwood and set decorator Katie Spencer, is a modernist dream in a palette of bright, saturated color.

THE SLIM AARONS AMERICAN ICON COLLECTION

With its new lineup, Santa Barbara Designs pays homage to the iconic work of Slim Aarons, one of the most famous photographers of the 20th century.

Slim Aarons loved to photograph "beautiful people in beautiful places, doing beautiful things."

For Outdoor 2021, Santa Barbara Designs re-imagines several stand-out umbrellas in "those beautiful places surrounded by those beautiful people" in our 2021 Slim Aarons American Icon Collection. The collection borrows from three of his most well-known images.

It feels like patio season has officially begun in Denver! Our outdoor spaces are becoming an important extension of our homes now that we're spending so much time at home. We recently introduced you to our new outdoor lines, and now we are focusing on our good friends, Santa Barbara Designs. Not only do they craft one-of-a-kind umbrellas, they support their local community and beyond. They have recently been making masks which they continue to donate to local hospitals, and they even sent some to us!

Their latest Inspirations are centered around California, which is so fitting because of the pride they have in community. I hope you enjoy the wonderfully inspired umbrellas below. The Avalon

Avalon is a charming resort community on the island of Catalina, known for its casual beachside structures that feature pops of pink and aqua. SBD's nod to this island town is their seamed “Vogue” canopy, in French Pink and Aqua Sea, on a white Mirasol frame.

Spring has sprung, and it is officially outdoor season!
Yes, we'll still get some wintry weather here and there, but with our weather reaching the 70s this week, we declare it's time to enjoy the outdoors.

We've put together a collection of outdoor furniture, lighting, planters, and umbrellas that we currently have here in our showroom (and a few that are arriving any day). We invite you to come in to see and sit in everything. Of course, there are MANY other outdoor varieties not shown on the floor, so know that you are not limited to what you see.

If you've ventured into our showroom lately, it's likely that you've noticed two brand new umbrellas. If you haven't been in lately, or maybe don't reside in Denver, you're in luck, because we've put together our "Umbrella Roundup," just for you. We believe outdoor season is year-round (especially in the Rocky Mountain States), but it is fun to create fresh new outdoor spaces each Spring/Summer.
